In 1999, I was a young mom, a teacher, and had just had a baby with a significant disability. Life was exhausting. And expensive.
It was 1999, and I definitely didn’t feel like partying like it.
So I dialed up.
What I found online was a whole group of women a lot like me. We were all trying to figure out how to make this work. We had different reasons for being there and different ideas of what success would look like.
We made friends. We learned from each other. We made plenty of mistakes.
But somehow, we were going to figure it out.
Those women have gray hair to cover now, too, and our kids are grown. But man, do we have a lot of experience to share.
We had the first Twitter accounts. We remember when chevron was basically the only thing on Pinterest. We even remember when a cute little guy named Mark burst onto the scene.
We were figuring out how to make money online while the internet itself was still figuring out what it wanted to be.
And while most of those women are happily playing with their grandkids now, I moved that kiddo who started this whole thing to an awesome island and semi-retired at 50.
That was my dream.
But I know there are still women awake in the middle of the night trying to figure out how to make the life in front of them work.
And I know this works.
I want to help those women figure out how to make it work for them.
And I wouldn’t mind if I made some money at it too...
There are other women asking the same questions you are. The community is a place to ask questions, talk through what's working, get help when you're stuck and learn alongside women figuring out their own version of this.
